Lady Luck

Katy and I went to Las Vegas yesterday for the day. We ate at the Mandalay Bay Buffet. We have always loved this buffet, but it wasn't as good as whe'd hoped. They raised the prices and stopped serving eclairs and tiramisu (they had something labled tiramisu, but was an insult to the heavenly desert). We went to the Bellagio and viewed the gardens (as seen in pic above) and watched the water show at the fountains. Then we headed to the Bass Pro Shop at the Silverton Casino and wandered around. It was fun to spend the day together, even if it was in the hell-hole of Vegas.

Went Fishing Today

I went Fishing today. I caught a dozen small trout (2-10") on the East Fork of the Sevier River. The small trout pictured above is an example of what I was catching on Pheasent tails, so I switched to wooly buggers and that's where the fun started. Then I went to Mammoth Creek and caught the 17" Brown Trout in the video and the other trout pictured above. I also caught a fat white fish, but didn't see the need to take a picture of it.

Katy and I are going to Vegas tomorrow. We need a date together before the kid comes.

This is Sarge. He's a hand full. He loves to cuddle, he snores and farts, and hates to be left home alone. He's a great fishing buddy as long as we are in the boat and he has his sweater on.

Baby Boy on the Way!

Here's the little tike's ultrasound picture. He, yes that's right HE is due August 24, 2007. We are so excited to have our first child on the way. It was a tough first few months for Katy. But she is feeling much better now. I love and apreciate her more every day.

I decided to start my own blog...



I'm not sure what I will use this blog for, probably to update eveyone who might care about my life and what I do with my spare time. My sister Michelle has a blog she puts her kiddy kats on and updates us on their many travels. I got my nickname "pickle" from Michelle...hence "Pickle's Place"



I hope to share funny video clips and hopefully some fish pics once I start catching fish worth bragging about.
